A hands-on training experience for developing Nazarene production leaders serving inside a live Ministry Forum event.
Most production leaders learn alone, under pressure, on Sunday morning.
The Ministry Forum Production Internship is a different learning experience.
This is a hands-on production practicum: you won't sit through workshops or watch training videos — you'll learn by running production inside a live ministry event, with experienced mentors nearby. Come learn church production in a new way by helping execute Ministry Forum 2026, serving alongside a crew of people passionate about church production, and seeing how audio, lighting, video, graphics, and leadership fit together in the room.
What is Ministry Forum?
Each year, the Toler Resource Center for Pastoral Leadership at Southern Nazarene University brings pastors and lay leaders from across the Church of the Nazarene together for Ministry Forum — two days of teaching and worship, hosted at Bethany First Church. This year's keynote speakers are Bobby Gruenewald (Life.Church; founder of the YouVersion Bible App) and Steve DeNeff (Senior Pastor, College Wesleyan Church), plus breakout sessions across the building.
We're also trying something new. We're inviting a handful of leaders who love church production to help execute the event from pre-production through final load-out alongside BFC’s production crew. If that's the kind of work you'd rather learn by doing than watch from a seat, this is your shot.

Experience the entire process.
Pre-Production. This is where the whole event takes shape. You'll be in it from early on walk into load-in already knowing how your role runs.
Go Time. From Monday afternoon's rehearsal through the final keynote on Tuesday, we execute production for Ministry Forum together as one crew.
Find Your People. Meet people who understand the mix of creativity, pressure, problem-solving, and ministry that comes with this work. Trade ideas, compare approaches, and get to know people you can call the next time you’re stuck—or the next time something finally works.
Every participant serves in a defined role with a named mentor nearby.
Audio — You will serve as the liaison between the audio engineer and everyone on the platform. Dive deep on Monitor mixes, multitrack recording, and lobby feed, and have a chance to learn about a DiGiCo SD12.
Lighting — Under a mentor, you'll help quality control cues, assist with programming, and get operator time on an MA3 console through rehearsal and show. You'll also work with the LED wall running through Resolume Arena.
Camera — You will help plan shot composition and timing alongside the director, and get hands-on time with our camera package — sticks, wireless handhelds, and robotic dollies, mostly shooting on RED Komodos.
Video Switcher — You will punch the program feed between cameras and graphics sources on an ATEM Constellation 8K as the director calls shots, learning to read the show and react in real time.
Graphics — Across three ProPresenter machines triggered through Companion, you'll handle slides, speaker support, and media cues, building the timing and pacing instincts that come with keeping graphics in sync during a live event.
Ready to apply?
Applicants must be 18 or older by September 13, 2026 and currently attend a Nazarene university, volunteer for a Nazarene church, or be employed by a Nazarene church. Apply by August 3, 2026.
