What is Baptism

Baptism is something Jesus calls His followers to do. It’s a special moment that celebrates the grace we receive through Jesus and our new life as part of God’s family, the Church.

When someone is baptized, they are publicly expressing their faith in Jesus as their Savior and their desire to follow Him in a life of obedience and holiness.

Because God’s grace is for everyone, we also baptize young children or those who are not yet able to make that decision for themselves when parents or guardians request it. In those cases, the church partners with the family to help guide and teach them in the Christian faith as they grow.

Baptism can be done by sprinkling, pouring, or full immersion in water.
