Family Ministries Assistant
Bethany First Church is currently seeking a part-time Family Ministries Assistant. The Family Ministries Assistant will report directly to the Executive Director of Family Ministries. This individual will provide essential administrative and organizational support to the Family Ministries team, ensuring smooth operation of all programming and events. This role involves managing calendars, communication, and data systems while fostering a culture of hospitality, discipleship, and generosity in alignment with the Bethany First Church mission.
Classification: Part-Time (20 hours/week)

Position Summary:
The Family Ministries Administrative Assistant provides essential administrative and organizational support to the Family Ministries team, ensuring smooth operation of all programming and events. This part-time role involves managing calendars, communication, and data systems while fostering a culture of hospitality, discipleship, and generosity in alignment with BFC’s mission. The ideal candidate will be highly relational, detail-oriented, and committed to supporting ministry efforts that help families and children grow in their relationship with Jesus.
Key Responsibilities:
Supports Family Ministries with a high level of administration and organization based in the BFC values and practices.
Assists and effectively implements the secretarial duties required to fully support Family Ministries.
Oversees and manages the calendar, scheduling, and administrative communication for Family Ministries.
Serves on the administrative assistant team and performs all other duties as assigned.
Specific Areas of Responsibility:
Supports Family Ministries with a high level of administration and organization based on the BFC values and practices.

Assist Family Ministries with administrative tasks and support to effectively lead worship experiences for kids and families.

Assist and support the team to effectively operate discipleship programs.

Assist in supporting an “open arms culture of invitation within family ministries.

Effectively and efficiently use the resources of BFC to serve BFC staff and families.
Teach and live generous sharing and stewardship of resources.
Assists and effectively implements the administrative support duties required for Family Ministries.
Provide administrative support for all regular weekly discipleship programs and events.
Be knowledgeable and current on all discipleship opportunities, programming, events, staff and information regarding Family Ministries.
Manage Realm and ACS database.
Manage enrollment, attendance, and follow-up for new kids, preteens, students, and families in the ACS database.
Effectively communicate via phone, email, letters, etc with family ministries staff, BFC support staff, and BFC families.
Proactively initiate opportunities to better support family ministries and staff.
Oversee and manage the calendar, scheduling, and administrative communication for Family Ministries.
Manage, update, and monitor the calendar for Kids, Preteens and Student Ministries.
Manage the scheduling of facilities and rooms for all areas of Family Ministries.
Manage the monthly Family Ministries newsletter.
Respond to phone calls, emails, and other inquiries in a timely and efficient manner.
Serves on the administrative assistant team and performs all other duties as assigned.
Provide coverage for BFC Reception desk as assigned.
Manage enrollment for the BFC After School Program.
Provide support for other ministry or business functions as needed.
