The Global Outreach Administrative Assistant supports the Director of Global Outreach by coordinating mission team logistics, assisting with ministry projects, supporting fundraising and grant activities, and helping communicate the mission of Global Outreach to the church and community.

Position Classification
Part Time
20 hours per week
Primary Responsibilities
Mission Team Support
Manage mission team programming and logistics.
Collect, track, and submit all team member payments to the business office.
Coordinate flights, housing, and ground transportation (domestic and international).
Communicate passport requirements, paperwork deadlines, and other documentation needs.
Gather medical documents required for Eswatini licensure.
Assist with planning in collaboration with the Director and On-Site Coordinators.
Attend mission team meetings as needed.
Obtain mission team insurance through the General Church.
Ensure Kid’s Safe certification for teams working with children.
Project & Ministry Support
Assist with Global Outreach projects beyond mission teams (events, awareness efforts, volunteer support, etc.).
Work collaboratively with ministry leaders, including:
Dr. Harlan Moore, Doug & Margaret Eaton, Linda Wilkins, John Lunn (Eswatini)
Rev. Mike Brooks, Paul McGrady (Native American Partnership)
Rosa McCroskey, Karen Eaton, Kristi Morris (Afghan Ministries)
Build strong working relationships with both Bethany First Church and non-Bethany First Church leaders.
Fundraising Events
Serve on the Swazi 5K Committee and attend meetings.
Act as race registrar or assist a volunteer registrar.
Prepare individualized donor mailings.
Submit event applications to the City of Bethany.
Track and submit all event funds to the business office.
Manage t-shirt orders.
Grants
Track grant deadlines and required follow-up reporting.
Skills & Competencies
Communication
Clearly communicate Global Outreach’s mission in writing and verbally.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher; Google Docs; Dropbox; PowerPoint; and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram).
Represent Global Outreach when leadership is traveling.
Interpersonal Skills
Take initiative and think creatively to solve problems.
Support and empower volunteers.
Delegate tasks effectively when appropriate.
Attend staff meetings as required.
Represent BFC positively in all interactions.
Qualifications
Minimum of two years of administrative assistant experience.
Experience working with volunteers preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Must meet all Bethany First Church employment and personnel guidelines.
Reports to: Barbi Moore, Director of Global Outreach

Eswatini Partnership (est. 2008)
Native American Partnership (NAP) (est. 2013)
Afghan Refugee Support (since 2021)
Our work includes sending mission teams to Arizona, New Mexico, and Eswatini; supporting local and international ministry partners; telling the story of our missions work; and coordinating fundraising events such as the annual Swazi 5K.
