Workshop Leaders

We have pulled together some of the most talented and gifted leaders in the area of church worship. Their levels of experience and their hearts for worshipers are apparent in their lives and in their work. We think you and your team will enjoy learning from these talented teachers.

Paul Baloche

Paul is one of the most acclaimed worship artists and songwriters of our time. A multiple Dove Award nominee, he has received two Dove Awards. He is the artist of radio standards including Because of Your Love, Hosanna (Praise is Rising), and Our God Saves. He has also written modern-day classics such as Above All, Open the Eyes of My Heart, and Your Name. In short, Paul writes songs that the church sings. It's a calling he doesn't take lightly.

Paul and his wife, Rita, have been married for 23 years, and now Paul is celebrating 20 years as the worship pastor at Community Fellowship in Lindale, Texas. It's a testament to Paul's commitment to community, in both the local church and the body of Christ.

The result is Paul's trademark blend of music, ministry, and message, all interwoven with a unifying passion to draw the church closer to our Savior.

Because of his desire to give more than music to churches, Paul has developed leadworship.com. Through this site, Paul is committed to encouraging and equipping the next generation of worship leaders. "I wanted to create a site where people could get ideas and resources, to address the need to create community and journey in churches. Instead of making Sunday morning worship a concert, I'm interested in making Sunday morning the un-concert. Through music, we want to help people connect with God, and make an environment where it's easier to do that."

Dave Williamson

Since 1969, Dave Williamson has been worship pastor in churches of all sizes. A licensed minister, his career path has taken him to churches of several denominations. His choirs and singing groups have been featured on dozens of recordings.

He has arranged music for shows appearing at Disney parks, and several other Southern California-based entertainment venues. He also did some minor film scoring, and cartoon TV work, as well as contributing to other facets of the music industry while in California. However, most of Dave’s output related to the recording industry.

He has produced and/or arranged for numerous Christian musicians such as Natalie Grant, FFH, Larnell Harris, Ron Kenoly, Babbie Mason, The Martins, Point of Grace, Alvin Slaughter , Sandi Patty, and Truth. Since moving to Nashville in 1989, Dave has focused on arranging music for the contemporary church, having been nominated for numerous Dove awards, winning two for “Musical of the Year.” Since that 1970 beginning, Dave has arranged, produced, or participated in over 500 recording projects.

The passion of Dave’s heart is to be part of seeing the choir in the church around the world rediscover God’s original plan for it – becoming worship leaders in the truest sense. He has dedicated his life to that objective, and since 2000, Dave has written and recorded The Worship Leading Choir journal, read and heard by thousands of church music and worship leaders. Dave has also been “on location” with choirs in churches, and with music leaders in workshops, teaching on this timely concern.

Dave lives in Brentwood, Tennessee, with his lyricist/poet/journalist/ photographer wife, Jan, of 40 years and near their three married children and eight grandchildren.
