Hurricane Disaster Response
BFC is responding to the the Texas Hurricane Harvey and Florida Hurricane Irma situations by showing the love of Christ in our prayers and action. Here is how you can be involved:
YOU CAN PRAY
PRAY for those who have lost their homes and possessions and for those in relief efforts.
PRAY for our civic and church leaders in the decisions they are making to help their people.
PRAY for our Nazarene churches as they reach out to their communities with the love of Christ.
YOU CAN GIVE
DONATIONS - You can write a check payable to BFC and write “hurricane” on the memo line. You can text funds to BFC at (405) 384-7617 and designate “hurricane.” You can also give online. All of your giving will go for Hurricane Relief.
CRISIS CARE KITS (CCK) - We are asking for families, individuals, and Sunday School Classes to make CCK’s that will be distributed in South Texas and South Florida by Nazarene Compassionate Ministries (NCM). Please make your kits and bring them to the north entrance of BFC by SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 24.
IMMEDIATE NEEDS - We have an urgent need for cleaning supplies and gloves to send with our teams. Supplies can be dropped off at the north entrance of BFC before September 24.
- Cleaning supplies - Bleach, Mr. Clean, and PineSol (non-ammonia cleaners)
- New Work gloves
- New Work masks (N95)

YOU CAN GO
BFC TEAMS – You can sign up to join a BFC team to serve in South Texas. These teams will all be co-led by BFC and NCM. You can sign up as a group or as individuals.
HEART TO HEART INTERNATIONAL – HHI is calling on medical personnel to serve with them in Victoria and Houston. For more information, go online to www.hearttoheart.org/hurricaneharvey.
