Come join us as a part of BFC’s College Life ministry. Share in the journey that, as St. Paul prayed for the Ephesians, leads us to “grasp how wide and long and high and d eep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge- that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” (Ephesians 3: 18-19)
We will have fellowship and fun while exploring and engaging in a life of discipleship to Christ and imaginative servant work. Come as you are with your gifts, with your questions, with your personality and experiences. Here is a brief description of some of the opportunities in BFC’s College Life.
College Class College Room (above SE Entrance) 10:15-11:15 a.m.
Sunday School class for young adults in the traditional college-aged years. Class opens with a continental breakfast, then there is a Bible lesson and discussion. The best entrance to the College room is located across from Herrick Auditorium on Asbury Street.
Morning Worship Sanctuary 9:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.
Worship, celebrate Christ, and learn from the Word with the BFC community of faith in one of two morning services.
Open Gym Family Life Center 9:00-11:00 p.m.
Open Gym is designed for young adults in the college-aged years through mid-20s. Enjoy working out in the Family Life Center (FLC). The Fitness room features weight machines, free weights, bikes, treadmills, rowing and elliptical machines. A running-walking track is available. Basketball (pickup) and/or volleyball is in the gym itself. Ping pong, billiards, and foosball are available in the game room. The FLC is located across the street from Chapman Apartments and the School of Music.
Oasis Atrium 8:30-10:00 p.m.
This is a midweek experience designed for and led by college-aged folks and Pastor Mike. Each week there is a time of singing praises to God, time for reflection and prayer, a devotional or sermon, and interaction with peers. Food and connecting time follows. The Atrium is located directly across Asbury Street from Bracken Hall.
LifeShare College Room 7:00-8:15 p.m.
Find encouragement to grow, become accountable, and receive support in your walk with Christ by participating in a weekly small group discipleship experience. Contact Pastor Mike Brooks to join a LifeShare group.
MINISTRY and MISSION:
Participate in monthly ministry and service endeavors in Christ’s name with other emerging young adults in the Bethany/OKC area.
